"At my senses horizon
you appear hesitantly,
like scattered islands.
Yet standing here, peering out,
I'm all the time seen by you.
All creation holds its breath, listening within me,
because, to hear you, I keep silent."
~Rainer Maria Rilke

Speaking of God, the poet captures the essence of our spiritual practice. To go within, to train ourselves to listen to the inner voice of Truth.
In the Old Testament, the center of the Tabernacle was the Holy of Holies...the place where the priest could meet God on behalf of the people. We now have a meeting place with God...within our own consciousness, and there our human nature meets our spiritual nature. In silence, we discover God's presence at the center of our being.
The spiritual practice of meditation is a time of refreshing but also a time of deep knowing. Today spend some time in silent communion with the Spirit within...for peace, for balance, for direction.
