Practice What is Preached
This past Sunday we had a wonderful (in my opinion) talk from Rev. Gloria Lilly-Holt. The main point of the talk was the need to "practice what is preached" in order to effectively benefit from Unity teachings. I so heartily agree. If we want to loose weight we know we can't just read books and articles about diet and exercise, share them with our friends and talk about the ideas, hours on end and expect to loose weight. It's the same with all the information out there about living a spiritual life. We must put the ideas to use in our lives daily, hourly, moment by moment. That's when we will see real change in our lives. What idea are you going to put into use today? Supporting you in love and light. Keri

An Eastern Twist
We're looking at different practices during our Wed eve group now and Buddhism seemed the obvious one to try first. One of their basic truths is that life means suffering. It means things are not perfect, stuff happens. One of their other truths is that we can be at peace if we can accept that things are not and may never be perfect. I LOVE this. Too, often we expect perfection out of life (at least I do) and for me this took a load off. Stuff happens, it is what it is. WE put the judgement on it and that's like work. I'm ready to be a little lazy, how about you?
